Welcome Post

Today, we launched the Tasting Saveur Website (www.tastingsaveur.com) after months of preparation. I look forward to the opportunity to help you host your next party, celebration, and more.

I founded Tasting Saveur to take the incredible knowledge and passion that I have learned from professionals in the wine industry and to share that knowledge and passion with others, all while having lots of fun.

Coming from a Computer Science background that was intrinsically analytical, and after over 20 years of developing and managing enterprise software products, I was surprised to discover that wine and winemaking could be just as analytical and complex!  When I began attending the wine program at the International Culinary Center, I spent hours each day studying all aspects of the wine making, learning a vast amount of new information and realizing how much more there was to learn.

The more I learn about the complexity of wines, the more fascinated and intrigued I became -- learning about terroir, viticulture practices, winemaking techniques, and food pairing.  Examining wine regions meant learning about geography, history, agriculture, and regional cultures (and gave me some ideas for my next travel adventure!). Developing my experience in wine tasting meant learning about different grape varietals, and also about spices, fruit flavors, florals, earth and all the other hints and notes that emerge as you examine a new wine. I have found such a passion for this craft and love to share it with others.

After passing the Level 2 Court of Master Sommeliers exam and became a Certified Sommelier, I knew I needed to do more to live the dream, hence Tasting Saveur was born.
